There is a saying uttered by Strangebloods–Wisefolk and witches alike: “when your loved ones die, cry, but don’t weep too long or you will call forth the spirits from the aetherdark. And once the spirits take hold, not easily do they let go.” But then Strangebloods are a superstitious lot, particularly prone to myths and monsters.
